Some people think that it’s a get-rich quick scheme and that there is no reason why they shouldn’t try their hands on one. But really, is it what online business is? Many online entrepreneurs could attest that such is a misconception because business you do online is very much like the business you do offline–in the brick and mortar establishment. * Treat it as a real business – Your business may be conducted in the virtual world but you have to remind yourself that it is very real. Treat every client and every deal as seriously as you would when you are conducting the business in person.

* Be genuinely willing to care for others – Think of what people truly want and help them get whatever it is. Provide solutions for others. Make your business friendly to everyone. Device your product information strategies, membership websites, and business models according to what people will find useful and helpful.

* Work at it – You have to give you online business your all. Pursue it as you would pursue a personal goal. The easiness of internet business is definitely a fa├žade because running one is just as hard and challenging as running a business in the real world. Online business has a lot of behind-the-scene struggles too, and you have to toil hard so everything will work for your venture’s good.

* Plan your work and work it–If you have been trying to put up an online business for sometime now, you surely know about what distractions are. They are just all over the place, making things too hard for you. The many online business tips you had memorized by heart just wouldn’t work with one distraction rising after another. It is so easy to lose focus! Now, what you must do is this: Plan things carefully and work your plan. As you conceptualize your business strategies, conceptualize problems too, and then create contingency plans. Only when you foresee problems will you be able to deal with them well and fast. Foreseeing problems in business is not pessimism. It’s facing reality.
Don’t let yourself be caught off-guard.

* Be active–Do not sit down and wait for things to unfold. Unfold things yourself. Be a giddy partner who can’t wait to see his or her lover. Remember that marketing evolves a lot and you can not be complacent. Get into the habit of knowing income streams and analyze them. Try new techniques and act on them. When it moves, it moves. But when it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. It’s Ok to commit mistakes. It’s all part of business.

Ways To Find Public Speaking Engagements

How many new customers or clients do you want to attract this year? Well, I have found that using public speaking is a very effective marketing tool that can bring in new business.

So, if public speaking is so effective, why isn’t everyone using public speaking to attract new customers and clients? Here, there are two main reasons: 1. People haven’t learned how to overcome their fear of public speaking. 2. Nobody ever told them that public speaking was a great way to find new customers. So, they never bothered to use it.

Now there are “four main tips” that will help you become a confident speaker. Who gets speaking engagements:

Tip #1
“Goals” – Determine what specific goal you want to achieve by giving many speeches. – Example: Perhaps you want to attract 100 new customers or clients in the next twelve months.. Also, by choosing a specific goal,you will find it easier to determine the number of speeches you will need to give to attain your goals. I have found that most speakers should give between 50 to 150 speeches per year. This will help them attain their goals.

Tip #2
“Have A Slow And Safe Way To Practice Your Speeches”. – Most speech classes or training groups tend to have you give a long speech to a group of people. This is not an effective training method. It is better to let people feel safe and develop slowly by giving short speeches of a one minute or two minute duration. When the new speaker feels more confident, they will then be eager to try a five minute or ten minute speech. So, let each person develop at their own pace. Many shy people, have overcome their fear of public speaking, by using this kind of “slow and safe” method. – Eventually, they will be excited about giving a 30 minute speech.

Tip #3
“Willingness To Give Speeches” – I find that most new speakers have not committed to giving a certain amount of speeches each year. When I ask them if they are willing to give one speech each week for the next four weeks, they usually will not commit to it. So, if they will not give speeches for the next four weeks, then they definitely will not commit to giving 50 speeches in a one year period. On the other hand, there are speakers who are excited about achieving their goals and they commit to giving over 100 speeches each year.

So, start slowly, and see if you are willing to give 50 speeches in the next 12 months. I think that you will get more excited about giving speeches, as you find that public speaking is helping you achieve your goals.

“Knowing How To Make A Profit From Your Speeches” – Here are some questions that you will need to ask yourself:
1. How do I find 50 speaking engagements each year?
2. How do I give speeches for free, in order to attract more customers?
3. How do I get paid to speak?
4. How do I get speaking engagements at places like: Associations, corporations, conferences, conventions, large organizations, schools and colleges, charity groups, churches, community groups, professional groups, trade associations and a variety of other organizations.
5. How much money do I want to earn this year? How many new customers or clients do I want to attract this year by giving speeches?

Tips to be most successful in the Event Industry

After spending 22 years in this Industry, I can conclude there is no fixed formula for success. Formulas and formats of business evolve day in and day out. Also, the situation is different from one company/person to the other. On top of it, the market dynamics are changing at a faster speed than ever before.

Then the question arises, what’s constant in this ever changing market conditions which can sustain a business successfully? Here are some basic principles to success:

1. Always consider interest/objective of the client first. Beyond your needs and situation at any cost.

2. Be honest to your team and supply chain. Use and throw theory are shortcuts. They will not lead to a sustainable success. You need good partners internally and externally.

3. More than profits, creditability is long lasting.

4. You are unique, your company is unique, then there is no need to copy anyone. Be yourself. Make your own unique identity and not a copied one.

5. Show-off is like a bubble. It will burst. Accept and show only what you are and do not try to show what you are not. Because you will have to go on dragging yourself and resources to live up to your show.
